It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald B. Dunham, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Ronald passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Bakersfield, California, surrounded by the family he cherished so dearly. He was 87 years old.
Ronald was born on December 30, 1938, in Shafter, California, a town that remained close to his heart throughout his life. He was a man who led with kindness and a gentle humor that endeared him to everyone he met.
A proud veteran, Ronald served his country honorably in the United States Navy. His dedication to service and community extended beyond his military years, as he became a cherished member of the church vessels of honor at his local church. His faith was a guiding light in his life, and he found great joy in contributing to his church's mission and the fellowship it provided.
Ronald had a lifelong passion for landscaping, where his green thumb and meticulous attention to detail transformed ordinary gardens into extraordinary sanctuaries. His pride in his work was evident in every project he undertook, leaving a legacy of beauty and serenity in his wake.
Ronald's hard work paid off once he had started his own company called Dunham Enterprises.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Dunham, who was his steadfast companion and greatest supporter. He is survived by his 4 children 2 siblings, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ronald's life will be celebrated at graveside service on April 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, located at 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA 93203. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a man who touched so many lives with his compassion and humor.
While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the profound impact he had on those around him. Ronald B. Dunham's legacy is one of love, laughter, dedication, and grace, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
