Heaven has gained a truly wonderful soul as Marcilyn Kaye Hill Hammond, 67, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. Marcilyn was born April 1, 1958, in Ft Worth, Texas. Marcilyn achieved many successes in life, but what she was most proud of were her children, grandchildren, and the family she had made.

She was preceded in death by her father George Hill, Step father Willard Riddle, brother James Hill, and step son Clint Hammond.

Marcilyn is survived by her husband David Hammond of Bakersfield, California, daughter Wendy Peterson of Bakersfield, California, son Jason Bradley (Kimberly) of Valley Grove, West Virginia, daughter Jessica Tuntland (Nick) of Bakersfield, California, son Jonathan Bradley of Bakersfield, California, son Aaron Bradley of Bakersfield, California, and step son Derrick Hammond of Bakersfield, California, mother Ella Riddle of Hallsville, Texas, her loving grandchildren Halie, Katlyn, Ella, Channing, Leiylah, Maizey, and step grandchildren Mallory, Jimmy, and Ethan, brother Dell Dixon of Hallsville, Texas, sister Darla Blalock of Longview, Texas, sister Deborah McDonald of Ft Worth, Texas, and sister Julie Kamp of Ft Worth, Texas.

Marcilyn loved reading a good book with a cup of coffee, her ever continuing education as a Christian, traveling, and spending meaningful time with her family. Marcilyn will be deeply missed by those who love her.

Graveside services will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, Thursday May 16th at 12:30 pm.
