Manuela "Lita"
Gonzalez
September 10, 1974 – April 17, 2023
Manuela Cadena Gonzalez
Lita
Lita was born September 10th 1974 in Salinas, Ca to Amelia Cadena Gonzalez. She was 48 when she unexpectedly passed away on April 17, 2023 in Bakersfield California.
Lita was the baby of the family. As a child she spent time growing up in both Bakersfield, Ca and Soledad, Ca. She attended mostly Wayside Elementary School, Emerson Jr High, then Bakersfield High School. She spent her summers with family and friends hanging out the Wayside Park recreation where she played games, did crafts, enjoyed swimming and even in a participated in play.
When she was younger she is described as funny, energetic, outgoing, outspoken with a huge imagination, and liked to have a good time. She was a goofy loving person, had a gap tooth smile that can light up a room and a laugh that can turn any frown into a smile. Her love for cherry coke and cigarettes was almost parallel with her love for oldies music and rapping, yes rapping. Not only did she love to rap to any beat but she also had a beautiful voice and would often sing any chance she could. She was always the life of the party.
Lita was so much more than her struggles, she loved all of her 3 kids so much that's all she would ever talk about.
Her children said when she was younger she was a very great mother who would do anything to protect them. Her grandchildren enjoyed having her around to make them laugh they would describe her as funny and goofy and they will miss her laugh and smile.
Lita is survived by her children, Marie, Daniel, and Trustan; Her grandchildren, Alylah, Genevieve, Amelia, and her first grandson to be due in September 2023; Her siblings, Rose, Theresa, Gilbert Villalpando, and Amy Gonzalez Onsurez (Fernando), as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncle. She loved fiercely and deeply and we will take comfort in knowing she is now at peace joining those that she loved who went before her, her Mother Amelia Gonzalez, Brother Ricardo Villalpando and Nephew Ricardo "Ricko" Villalpando III.
Her family will be representing her in honor with her children and siblings being honorary pallbearers. Her nephews and nieces, Janel, Monique, Julisa, Gabriel, Sharee, Gibby, Thomas, Taleah, Ava & Alanna will be at her side as pallbearers. Service officiated by her cousin Pastor Valentine Ferrel III
