Raised by a constellation of guiding stars, her mother Luvenia Sonier, and stepfather James Isaac Boyston, D. Williams Jones flourished under their care. Though they have predeceased her, the legacy of their love continues to shine through her remarkable life's work and the family she so adoringly nurtured. D. Williams Jones was an unstoppable force in the world of education and business. She swam competitively at Washington General Preparatory High School, after graduating early in 1973, she pursued her passion for business at Trade Tech Community College, honed her administrative acumen at Webster Career College, and majored in Business Management at San Jose State University. She balanced the rigors of academia with the joys and challenges of raising her sons, Deandre and Paskeal, demonstrating that determination and love can indeed move mountains. Her career was as dynamic as her spirit. Starting in the bustling Century City building in Los Angeles, she navigated the world of celebrity attorneys before finding her niche in the insurance industry, where she excelled for 13 years. The tapestry of her life grew richer with the birth of her daughters, D'Ondria and Kya. In 1990, she planted roots in Bakersfield, CA, dedicating 20 years to the Department of Human Services before her well-deserved retirement. D. Williams Jones was a Christian, her faith was unwavering just as her commitment to family. Traveling, cooking, dancing, and watching movies were her favorite past times, she enjoyed every moment, her laughter, and generosity was something she not only showed but lived by, always willing to open her door to family or help someone in need, her intelligence was also a guiding light to many. She leaves behind a legacy of life in her children Deandre Niles, Paskeal Tyiska, D'Ondria Jones, and Kya Nyack. Her grandchildren Domonick Jones, Paskael Tyiska Jr., Deandre Niles Jr., Naisha Niles, Niya Niles, Kaelsun Tyiska, Amariun Tyiska, Amir Tyiska, Sunniya Tyiska, Raniyah Tyiska, Shyreece Gnaa Tyiska Andrea Niles, Surii Cherry, Malakai Toles, Rianndria Edwards, Amiyah Hendrix, Robert Holley Jr., Amor Lee, and her great-grandchildren, Allaura Gold Tyiska, Indigo Reign Tyiska, and Jaylen Maurice Harris also Daughter In Law Sunny Tyiska and one son in Law Robert Holley. The torch of her love shines forward, D. Williams Jones's life was a masterclass in living with purpose and passion. Her essence could be distilled into three words: loving, generous, and stood on buisness. She was a motivational force, inspiring all who knew her to strive for excellence, to cherish every moment, and to love without reservation. Today, as we reflect on the life of D.
