Apolonia "Pola" Rivas Estrada, 77, of Bakersfield, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 25, 1947, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Alberto and Maria Rivas. Pola was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Pola was the beloved wife of Raymond Estrada and a proud mother to Joey Moreno, Lisa Moreno, Efren Estrada, Lucy Estrada and Isaac Estrada. She was a devoted grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Sarah Padilla, Arrianna Alonso, Marisol Alonso, David Alonso, Elaina Estrada, Emanuel Estrada, Marissa Reyes, JoJo Moreno, Mariah Moreno, Jacob Moreno, and Joseph Moreno; as well as two great-grandchildren, Krystin Valles and Ella Martinez. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosa Vidrio, Sylvia Garcia, Adriana Rivas, and Hilda Rivas, along with many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Maria Rivas; brothers Pedro, Ismael and Albert Rivas; and sons Efren and Isaac Estrada.

For many years, Pola worked at J.G. Boswell until her retirement, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Her time there helped support her family and shaped the person she was—reliable, hardworking, and deeply committed to those she loved.

Pola's love for her family was immeasurable, and she spent her life creating a warm and loving home for everyone she cared about. She was a woman of deep faith and was devoted to her relationship with God. She attended church regularly, finding strength and guidance in her faith throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Monarch Memorial Funeral Home, 2801 F Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301, at 1:30 PM.
