Alipio Edmundo
Amaral Sr.
September 26, 1949 – January 29, 2025
Alipio passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 26, 1949 to his parents Jose Perreira and Albina Ferreira Amaral (rest in peace Mae and Pai). At the age of 8, he moved to San Jose, California with his family where he grew up most of his life. Alipio attended James Lick High School. He enjoyed working on cars and did so for over 60 years. He lived in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for many years where he ran his business, Showcase Auto Body. He ran this business with his brother, Albert. Alipio did the autobody and paint and Albert did the detailing. He later relocated to Bakersfield, California where he continued his auto business.
In his early life, Alipio was married to Cathy Amaral (rest in peace). Together, they had three children, Scott, Tracy and Alipio. He later married Lisa Amaral and they had two sons Joseph and Jullian.
Alipio's hobbies included Harleys, antiques and classic cars. He became a self-taught welder and loved pencil art and painting. Alipio was a soft spoken man of few words. He was kind and caring, but his mere presence demanded respect. Anyone who knew him always saw his gentle side that touched many hearts.
Alipio is survived by his two brothers, Albert (wife Michelle) and Tony; his two sisters Bina and Carmen, his five children, Scott, Tracy, Alipio (wife Ashley), Joseph and Julian. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Scotty Jr, Isaac, Benny and Ophelia and many neices and nephews, cousins and friends.
Alipio will be missed dearly.
